API Announcement 22nd Mar 2020

Dear FLEXers,

CoinFLEX is delighted to announce that we are releasing four new features to our Websocket API. These features are:

  • Post Only functionality with the ModifyOrder command
  • Taker Side field in public and private OrdersMatched notifications
  • Reserved and Total Balance view from the GetBalances command
  • Time Closed field in OrderClosed notification

We are adding Post Only functionality to our ModifyOrder command – which will allow “Post Only” when modifying orders within our existing websocket ModifyOrders command.  This functionality complements our existing “Post Only” functionality when opening new orders via the PlaceOrder command.

Using the ModifyOrder command the price or quantity of an existing order can be modified; using the “Post Only” functionality a successful “Post Only” modified order will result in a normal limit order with the same message responses as before.  If however a “Post Only” modified order were to cross the bid/ask it will be rejected with the following message:

{‘error_code’: 9, ‘error_msg’: ‘Post-only order with these parameters would result in an immediate match.’}

For more information on the ModifyOrder command please consult: https://github.com/coinflex-exchange/API/blob/master/WEBSOCKET-README.md#modifyorder

Taker_side field in public and private OrdersMatched notifications – this will show a new “taker_side” field within the public and private OrdersMatched notifications which will indicate whether the taker/aggressor was from the bid or ask side.

For more information on the OrdersMatched notification please consult:

Reserved_balance and Total_balance view from the GetBalances command– the websocket GetBalances command will now return two additional fields, “total_balance” and “reserved_balance”.

Previously the “GetBalances” command only returned a “Balance” view by asset which is the amount available for placing orders. New functionality will allow viewing of “reserved_balance” which is the amount of balance reserved from limit orders which are still open on the order book and “total_Balance” which is the sum of “balance” and “reserved_balance”. For more information on the GetBalances command please consult:

https://github.com/coinflex-exchange/API/blob/master/WEBSOCKET-README.md#getbalances

Time Closed field in OrderClosed notification – the OrderClosed notification will now return an additional field called “time_closed” which will be in a microsecond timestamp format. For more information on the OrdersMatched notification please consult:
